My family lives on a lake in north west New Jersey. Our home sits high on pillars and the floor is poorly insulated, its about 1000 sq foot cottage. We have use 4 x 1500 watt portable oil radiators in the house for the past 3 years. After reading the ad in a magazine we looked into them more. We would use these for the primary heat source. After a week of debate we ordered 6 of the heaters and one of the wall thermostats. I ordered the hard wire units, they arrived 3 days later very well packed and all in perfect condition. I wanted to get them going so I wired in some standard plugs and plugged in 4 of the 6 units. They were super simple to mount, very easy to read instructions and the box is a mounting template. With the outside temp dropping to the single digits at night the timing was perfect to put these heaters to the test. They perform perfectly, our home went from 58 deg to an even 72 to 75 and our total wattage is down from 6000 to just below 3000 and that’s if they are running at full blast, most days we have them turned down about 1/3. It has been just over a month now, I am ready to hard wire the units now and when we put our addition on you can bet we will include a few more of these units to supply heat. We are completely satisfied with the performance of the units, and to think we will heat our home for $180 per month even with the heaters cranked on high!!!
