A room about 10 ft long by 13ft wide (130 square feet) with average insulation. Our 450 watt envi heater has been specifically designed to heat an average room measuring 130 square feet in floor area, to between 68 and 72 degrees, even in the coldest parts of the country. In rooms that have one or more of the following conditions: inferior insulation, many windows, staircases leading upwards, adjoining rooms that cannot be closed off (open plan) or outside entrances - this ratio may have to be lowered slightly. For rooms with above average insulation or warmer climates this ratio might be able to be increased. You can add as many heaters as you like to heat any size room, home or office. For rooms with no insulation or for rooms such as sunrooms with entire walls made of glass we recommend a ratio of one 450 watt heater per 50-70 square feet of floor area.

Unlike a central heating system and portable fan heaters, which use forced convection, envi wall mounted heaters create a natural circulation of warm air within a room. They are mounted flush to the wall with an air gap built into the heater. Cold air is then drawn (inducted) into the air gap inside the heater where it flows through dual heating stacks, causing rapid heating of air as it rises out. It is this Stack Convection technology that allows envi wall mounted heaters to be more efficient, effective and safer than radiator, fan, ceramic, gas, oil filled, baseboard and other types of heaters.

Yes! This is one of the key features of the envi heater. The envi heater has no exposed elements and operates at a safe surface temperature of approximately 90°F. Envi wall mounted heaters feature an automatic thermal cutoff, and each and every unit is subjected to several electrical safety and quality control tests.  These are done to ensure that when you take possession of your heater it will be in perfect working order and provide you with risk free heating for years to come. Your mind can be at ease knowing fire safety and quality are our number one priorities.

Yes! Envi wall mounted heaters eliminate the usual problems connected with allergy sufferers and dust disturbances; envi wall mounted heaters do not use a fan. Additionally, the low wattage of the heater, and low temperature heating core, does not allow the air to dry out. Even sufferers of Dry-Eye-Pain syndrome can experience relief during the heating season by the reduction of dried out air, and airborne particles normally blown about by other heating systems.

For maximum efficiency, the envi heater should be installed as close to the floor as possible (6 inches is ideal), however, installation up to 18inches off the floor is acceptable for smaller rooms.

Yes, Envi wall mounted heaters offer one of the safest bathroom heaters on the market. There are no exposed elements, thus eliminating any fire risk from accidental contact with towels or clothing. Additionally, the maximum surface temperature of the heater is only 90 deg, thus diminishing the risk of children or seniors being injured. Envi wall mounted heaters are safe even when exposed to moist air or steam. However, please check with your local statutes regarding the use of electrical appliances in bathrooms or wet areas. Some jurisdictions state that electrical appliances must be installed above shoulder height.  Please ensure that any electrical product including the envi is installed and used out of reach of a bath or shower. Fortunately, envi wall mounted heaters can only be securely mounted on a wall, but you should take extra care to wall mount them well out of the reach of children in the bathtub.

The heating element is encapsulated within the panel meaning minimal exposure to the air and thus less maintenance problems.  Additionally, envi wall mounted heaters do not need a fan, a high failure rate item on other heaters which must use a fan to blow hot air into a room. Yes, envi wall mounted heaters are constructed in such a way that they can be left on indefinitely if needed. High energy heaters are typically oversized for most rooms and are ineffective in circulating warm air evenly around a room. As a result the room develops hot and cold areas. In contrast, envi wall mounted heaters are efficient, low energy heaters that, due to their low operating costs, and robust construction, can be left on for long periods of time heating rooms in a softer, more sustained manner.

Right out of the box, envi wall mounted heaters come ready with a TRIAC thermostat for accurate and easy temperature regulation. The envi does not need any additional items, thermostats or timers, to control the heater.

At this time we do not offer an envi model that is hard wired. All envi heaters must be plugged into a standard 120 Volt outlet. The envi heater comes with a built in thermostat, so there is no need to hard wire the heater.
