The Smart Envi is a wall-mounted electric panel heater that adds Wi-Fi, app control, geofencing, and zone-heating features on top of the slim, energy-efficient design Envi is known for.

How is the Smart Envi different from the Original Envi heater?

The Original Envi is controlled with a built-in digital thermostat. The Smart Envi adds Wi-Fi connectivity, a dedicated mobile app, voice control through Alexa and Google Home, geofencing, and advanced scheduling. Both share the same slim wall-mounted profile, convection heating technology, and safety features — the Smart Envi simply gives you remote and automated control.

What are the benefits of a smart wall heater?

A smart wall heater lets you heat only the rooms you use, only when you need them. Benefits include lower energy bills through precise scheduling and zone heating, remote control so you can pre-heat a room before you arrive home, geofencing that automatically adjusts temperature based on your location, and voice control for hands-free operation. You get the comfort of central heat without heating unused spaces.

Which Smart Envi model is right for my room?

The Smart Envi 500-watt model is ideal for rooms up to about 130 square feet: bedrooms, home offices, bathrooms, and nurseries. The Smart EnviMAX 1000-watt model is designed for larger spaces up to roughly 250 square feet, such as living rooms, basements, and open-plan areas. Both come in 120V plug-in, 120V hardwired, and 220V hardwired configurations to match your electrical setup.

Does the Smart Envi work with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. Every Smart Envi and Smart EnviMAX heater is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, so you can adjust the temperature, turn the heater on or off, and check its status with voice commands. Setup is handled through the Envi companion app after connecting the heater to your Wi-Fi network.

What is geofencing on a smart heater, and how does it save energy?

Geofencing uses your phone's location to detect when you leave or return home. The Smart Envi can automatically lower the temperature when you leave a set radius around your house and bring the room back to your preferred temperature before you arrive. This eliminates energy wasted heating an empty home and is one of the easiest ways to reduce your heating bill without changing your daily habits.

Can I set a heating schedule with the Smart Envi app?

Yes. The Envi app lets you create custom schedules by day and time: for example, warm the bathroom before your morning shower, drop the temperature during work hours, and warm your bedroom before bed. You can also monitor runtime, estimated operating cost, and adjust settings for each heater individually if you own more than one.

Are smart electric panel heaters energy efficient?

Electric panel heaters like the Smart Envi convert 100% of the electricity they use into heat. Adding smart features improves real-world efficiency further because the heater only runs when and where it's needed. Zone heating a single occupied room is typically far less expensive than running a central furnace to heat the entire house.

Does the Smart Envi need Wi-Fi to work?

No. The Smart Envi has on-unit digital controls and will operate as a standard panel heater without an internet connection. Wi-Fi is only required for app control, voice assistants, geofencing, and remote scheduling. If your internet goes down, your heater keeps running on its last settings.

How much does it cost to run a Smart Envi heater?

Operating cost depends on your local electricity rate, the model wattage, and how long the heater runs. As a general guide, a 500-watt Smart Envi running for one hour uses 0.5 kWh — at the U.S. average rate of about $0.16 per kWh, that's roughly 8 cents per hour of active heating. Because the built-in thermostat cycles the heater on and off to maintain temperature, real-world costs are typically much lower than continuous runtime.
