21st Nov 2013

During winter the temperature is extremely low. This makes it hard for you to enjoy staying in your home without an effort to raise the temperature. There are many ways in which you can try to increase the temperature. First you can decide to wear winter clothes that will help you and your family to keep warm. Still the winter clothes are not enough hence you will need to have heaters. Heaters will use energy which can end adding the bill of energy that you will be required to pay each month .The following are easy steps to stay warm this winter while keeping your energy bills low.

Utilize the heat from the sun
The sun is a natural source of heat. During winter you can utilize this form of heat through allowing the heat to enter your house. In allowing the heat to enter your house especially through opening the windows during daytime the heat will warm your house. This heat will make it easy for you to use less energy for you to raise the heat to your desired level using different heaters that use energy economically.
Insulate your windows
Windows can let in cold air. During winter you can use curtains to prevent the cold air from entering your house from the windows as one way to stay warm this winter. Apart from using curtains to block the cold air you should also check on any spaces that can be on your window that can let in cold air and block them using insulators.
Apply zone heating using the right type of heaters
Instead of heating your entire house, which can be costly, it is advisable for you to apply zone heating. This is whereby you will be required to heat the room that you will be spending your time in at a specific time instead of heating the whole house .You should also decide on the best heater for you to use during your zone heating. For example you can use the following heaters depending on their suitability. Oil-filled, ceramic and infrared heaters.
