The breakthrough of green technologies has been felt around the world - so why not incorporate them into our heating systems? Our world is at a crossroads; we can choose to either continue participating in wasteful practices that harm our environment and compromise our future, or bet on new, cleaner technologies that promise to transform the way we produce, store, and use energy.

Over the last decade, these technologies have experienced a breakthrough; once relegated to industries and large businesses, they are quickly becoming accessible to a wider audience. Products such as  Tesla’s Powerwall promise to bring the green revolution to every home in America (and, eventually, the world), allowing us to power our appliances and electronics with safe, renewable, clean energy sources.

At Envi, we believe in a greener, more sustainable future. This is why we’ve dedicated ourselves to cleaning our supply chain and developing energy-efficient products. Our efforts have already been recognized by established certifiers such as the Green Business Bureau, which has deemed us an “environmentally-responsible business.” We plan to continue developing these technologies in our products as we move forward towards a greener, more sustainable future.

The Envi Heater is a safe, efficient, affordable, greener alternative to traditional heating options. There are ways, however, to make the Envi Heater even more efficient and more affordable. We’ve compiled a list of easy changes you can make to help you lower your carbon footprint and dramatically reduce your heating bill. Check them out below:

Small-Space Heating

Envi Heaters are most efficient when operated in spaces smaller than 150 square feet such as bedroom, bathrooms, offices and garages. They’re an ideal supplement to pre-existing central heating sources that use non-renewable energy such as oil, natural gas and wood. The Envi heater can also be used as a sole heating source, and, when powered by renewable energy, it becomes a 100% green source of heating!

Solar Powered Heating

The benefits of investing in a solar power (or wind power) system are simply enormous. Although the initial investment necessary to purchase such a system (particularly one large enough to power your house) is quite high, the long-term benefits certainly outweigh the costs. The argument is based on pure logic: by depending on renewable sources of energy, you lessen the amount of electricity you pull from the power grid, thus lowering your electricity costs and powering your home with verifiably clean energy.

The technology necessary to power up a whole house with solar power does exist - however, the initial investment necessary tends to scare people away. Solar systems will pay themselves off after several years as your electric bill diminishes and the savings pay off the capital cost.   We have many happy solar customers all over the USA who have invested in solar and then installed the Envi Heaters because of their many benefits.

The Envi Heater is efficient and works well with a solar panel/battery system because they draw only 4 amps for each heater. Our heater draws minimal amperage (even when turning on or off), while most other electric heaters draw as much as 3 or 4 times as much amperage - an amount that simply cannot be sustained by solar systems. Switching to green-energy heating is indeed possible but it's a big decision to make. However, you can lower your capital risk and start investing in greener technologies such as the Envi Heater right away! Once you're ready to install a full-fledged solar-system, you'll be all set to join the green-energy revolution!

Appropriate Insulation

When it comes to green heat-saving strategies the most important thing you need to do is improve the insulation in your home. The more insulated your home is, the less heat will be lost. This means that your Envi Heater will run less often because its thermostat will not come on as often. We once had a customer call us and boast that he was able to heat his 400 square foot room with just one Envi Heater - all thanks to proper insulation!

Whether you decide to spend a lot of money and make a serious upgrade to your home insulation or just make a few small changes, now is the time to weatherize your home as we head into the spring and summer.
